Alternatively for the more rustic camping experience stay at Locksters Pool, a basic but stunning campsite on the river bank. The next day you will paddle out of the Brecon Beacons and into the famous Herefordshire countryside. Pull in under the grand old brick bridge of Bredwardine, the locals favourite swimming spot. Finish your day in a traditional Herefordshire cider orchard, Byecross Farm in Preston-on-Wye, with their own canoe landing for easy river egress. A campsite with all amenities, you can pitch your tent or book a yurt. They even have hot food and cold drinks available too. Your third and final day, paddle into the historic city of Hereford where your carriage awaits.
